Place De La Bourse. The waterfront of Bordeaux hosts a part of the city’s classical centre. On one side of the square is the C.C.I. and on the other side is the Customs Museum (Douane). The square is made even more beautiful with the Miroir d’Eau next to the river on the other side of the main road. The water is shallow enough for people to walk on and it gives a beautiful reflection of the buildings of the Place de la Bourse. Walking through the water is wonderfully refreshing during summer. Along the edge of the river, a wide boulevard is used for walkers, cyclists, roller skaters, etc. Beautiful gardens lined the walkway.
